February Pickleball Update

Hello Picklers,

Welcome to our new players! This is the update for February.

Our Sr. Fun & Fundraising Tournament on Feb 7 is coming up soon.  We still have a couple slots left.  Please see the attached flyer.  If you haven’t pd yet, please send or bring to Audrey now.

Regarding paying ahead –Do not mark pd or Venmo’d in comment on SUG and we will not be posting payments made there either. If you are concerned about whether your payment was received, check with Audrey. It became confusing when some players marked themselves pd before we received the payment.

Tuesday afternoons 3:30-6:00pm are back for open play at least thru February.

Intermediate Skills and Beginner & Beyond Lessons are going very well.  Our Feb 14 skills are almost filled.  We are hoping to start some Saturday sessions in March.  If you have wanted Beginner or Intermediate Skills but have been unable to get in, please notify me personally with times needed.  We will try to get you in.  We expect March 14 to be our next Intermediate Skills.  Watch SUG.

Feb 28 we are planning a Youth Skills session.  All registrations must be requested directly thru Audrey at BSRCYOUTHCENTER@GMAIL.COM.  Bring or send your kids, grandkids or neighbors’ kids!  Flyer attached.  If you are available to help, please email me.

Competitive Session beginning March 12, Wednesdays 5:30-7:30pm or 6:00-8:00pm.  Tell Audrey which hours work best for you and she will set hours per the majority.

March 15 will be our “All Players” Tournament. It will be posted soon on SUG.

Saturday, April 12 “Dance for Pickleball” event–Our Fundraiser last year was so successful that people have been asking if we are doing another event this year. This DJ brings a screen and plays videos of the artists with music for all ages. If you are not a dancer, come for the fun, comradery, & light apps.  The funds will help maintain our Hobbs outdoor courts and save toward building more courts in the future.  Our numbers are growing so fast that we believe we should start thinking about this!  We will have a few raffles and a 50/50.  Tickets at $60 pp will be available later in February.  If you would like to hold a table for you and your friends, we will ask for an additional $10. Flyer coming soon.

💃

See you on the courts.
