Pelham Pathways, Inc. received a $20,000 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. The grant will help further the Pelham Pathway’s mission of promoting conservation and age-friendly outdoor spaces by supporting the construction of an All-Persons Trail at Merriam Farm Conservation Area.

The All-Persons Trail is designed to provide universal access to Pelham’s natural landscapes, ensuring that individuals of all ages and abilities, including those with mobility challenges, can enjoy the benefits of outdoor recreation. The project will include an accessible path, interpretative signage about local wildlife and conservation efforts, and audio tour. The initiative is a collaborative effort with the Town of Pelham, the Conservation Commission, the Forestry Committee and other community partners and is modeled after the successful Cedar Swamp All Persons Trail in Manchester, NH.

This funding will support the Pelham Pathway’s commitment to inclusive recreation and environmental education, making Pelham’s conservation lands more accessible without relying on local tax dollars.
