Flowering Celebration Park

Dear Pelham Pathways Friends,

We’re thrilled to share that Celebration Park is more beautiful, welcoming, and accessible than ever! June brought incredible progress thanks to your support, generous donations, and the tireless energy of volunteers and local partners.

Here’s a peek at what’s new:

 New Accessible Walkways Are In!
Thanks to D&D Asphalt and volunteer project manager Paul Gagnon, we’ve installed over 275 square yards of brand-new, smooth asphalt pathways—connecting you more easily to pickleball courts, gardens, and shaded seating areas. Minimal lawn damage and maximum impact!

 A Shade Garden Blooms
Volunteers dug in—literally—to create a lush, peaceful new garden bed along the fence line. Over 80 hostas were donated, divided, and replanted, saving over $1,600. A special thank-you to the Pelham Garden Group for continuing donations and to Mary, Celine, Joy, Aline, and Kay for your green thumbs!

 Memorial Trees Receive a Makeover
After an expert consult from Bartlett Tree Experts, we removed a few declining trees and replanted six new beauties: magnolias, arborvitaes, maple, and a Japanese stewartia. These thriving trees now stand proudly as living memorials, with ongoing care guided by Bartlett—at no cost to Pelham Pathways!

 Better Watering = Healthier Gardens
With a new water spigot installed by Parks & Rec and a volunteer watering team in the works, we’re ensuring Celebration Park continues to thrive all summer long.

 Meet Roscoe the Snake!
Roscoe is slithering into hearts as our newest kid-friendly garden feature. A children’s volunteer art project in July will bring him to life with a painted smile and friendly eyes.

 Learning Trail Coming Soon
In collaboration with Bartlett Tree Experts, we’re launching a QR Code Tree Learning Trail—so you can learn more about the park’s native trees and shrubs as you stroll. Coming later this year!

Meet Our Growing Team
We’re thrilled to welcome Lorraine Falcone, Celine Soucy, Kay Gonyeo, Aline Paquette and Linda Moore to the Celebration Park Committee! Their passion and ideas are already making an impact.

Looking Ahead
Here’s what’s next on the horizon:

🎉 Thank You for Believing in This Park!
Every dollar donated, tree planted, and hour volunteered has helped create a space that is welcoming, accessible, and full of life. The Celebration Park is a true example of what Pelham can do together.

See you on the trail!
