| Guided Hike & Luncheon – Saturday, January 10th at 10:30 AM There is something magical about walking through the woods in winter. The air feels clearer, the wildlife tracks stand out against the snow, and the quiet beauty of the forest reminds us why Pelham’s conservation lands are so special. We invite you to experience that magic with us on Saturday, January 10th, as Pelham Pathways kicks off the new year with a refreshing winter hike at the Arthur H. Peabody Memorial Town Forest—followed by a warm and welcoming luncheon at Pine Valley Golf Course. This is the kind of outing that makes you grateful you laced up your boots and stepped outside. Why This Hike Is Worth Bundling Up For: Peabody Town Forest is one of Pelham’s hidden gems—155 acres of upland woods, wetlands, and an open powerline corridor, offering endless opportunities for wildlife viewing and peaceful exploration. With 5+ miles of trails, it’s the perfect winter setting for a family-friendly adventure. Our hike will be guided by Beth Jussaume, who always brings infectious enthusiasm, a welcoming spirit, and a knack for helping hikers of all ages feel at ease on the trail. Whether you’re joining us for the first time or are one of our seasoned hikers, you’ll feel right at home. A Delicious Bonus: Lunch at Pine Valley Golf Course After we wrap up our one-hour moderate hike, we’ll head over to Pine Valley Golf Course for a well-earned meal together. Pelham Pathways is delighted to offer every participant a $10 lunch credit as a complimentary gift—a small way of saying thank you for supporting our guided hikes and exploring Pelham’s beautiful conservation lands with us. Start 2026 Outdoors—With Community, Adventure, and a Warm Lunch Waiting at the End There’s no better way to beat the winter doldrums than by getting outside, moving your body, and enjoying the company of neighbors who appreciate nature as much as you do. We hope you’ll join us for this first hike of the year and help us continue building a vibrant, active, and connected Pelham community. Winter Safety Reminder: Please come prepared for winter trail conditions. Ice and packed snow are common this time of year, so we strongly recommend bringing microspikes, walking poles, and wearing warm, layered clothing and sturdy winter boots.
