Welcome to our newcomers to Pelham Pickleball. 

Our December Skills Fundraiser to help the BSRC Center towards their goal of $100,000. to improve the Center did so well that we are offering another session. They appreciate the spirit you have all shown in helping towards that goal.  January 10th will be our next Intermediate Skills Fundraiser sessions.  Word got out before I even had a chance to send this email, so January is already almost filled.  Look for it on Sign-up Genius (SUG) if you are interested.  Be sure to cancel if you find you are unable to go so that others may sign up.

*These are not beginner sessions.  You should know how to play the game before signing up.

You will notice a waiting list under the Skill sessions. If you are unable to sign up due to capacity, add your name there and which session you are available for.  Then watch SUG and add your name to a Skills session if an opening occurs. Make sure to also delete your name from the waiting list. The 1st player to see the opening may take it.  It will not necessarily be in the order of the waiting list.  Do not pay until you are able to take an opening. This will help us gauge how many are interested but unable to sign up.  

*Audrey is now requesting payment up front for these Skills sessions.  Please sign up first on SUG, then either stop at the center with cash or use Venmo with the attached QR code. If you need to cancel, full refund is offered up until 48 hours prior to the session. We are also allowing 2 hrs. per session now to allow 1/2 hour of play to use your newly acquired skills in a game after the lesson. 

February’s Skills will be held February 14th but will not be listed until the February calendar is added to SUG.

Tuesday afternoons were incorrectly listed for January.  If you had signed up for a Tuesday afternoon, it has been removed.  I also made an error for Tuesday 1/7 and removed the whole day.  The morning is now re-listed.  If you had signed up for then, please sign again.  The next Tuesday afternoon is Jan. 28th. 

Tournaments are being planned for February and March.  February’s “Seniors Tournament” will be held Friday 7th, 9:30-11:30, for age 55 or older.  We are hoping for 24 players but will adjust as necessary.  This is a “for fun and fundraising” tournament, again to raise money for BSRC.  All levels will be accepted to play together.  The fee will be $35. payable to the center via cash or Venmo (attached).  Each player will play 3 games, each with a different assigned partner, until the 1st team reaches 11 points, or until a maximum of 15 minutes.  (No win by 2.)  Scoring will be as individuals to determine tournament winners with points accruing for the 3 games. Please sign-up 1st on SUG and then pay for the tournament. If needed, we will add a waiting list. 

I will need volunteers to help for that day, including some that are not playing please.  Also, spectators are welcome, and donations are accepted. 

The March tournament will be Saturday, March 15th and open for all ages and levels.  More info later.
