Pickleball Volunteer – Pattie Parece

Pattie Parece is a dual-certified Pickleball Pro Instructor whose dedication to the sport is matched only by her passion for giving back to the community. In an inspiring display of determination, Pattie went undefeated in Skinny Singles to win gold and qualify for the Senior Games Nationals. The very next day, while competing in women’s doubles 4.0–4.5 and leading 7–0, she fractured her wrist in several places. Despite the severity of the injury—which required surgical repair—Pattie remains determined to return to the court as soon as possible.

As a USA Pickleball Ambassador for the Atlantic Region/New Hampshire, Pattie actively promotes positivity and growth in the sport, organizing events, advocating for more facilities, and fostering engagement at every level. On court, she volunteers her time leading beginner and intermediate workshops, clinics, and coached play sessions, helping players build skills and confidence. She also guides new competitors in tournament preparation, easing their transition into competitive play.

Her generosity extends well beyond the pickleball courts. Pattie donates free private lessons to local youth, runs introductory programs for church youth groups, and participates in fundraising efforts to maintain and enhance the Hobbs Community Courts.

Pattie’s commitment to service is equally strong in environmental stewardship. She serves on the Long Pond Clean Water Association Board, where she helps manage water quality, environmental health, and community engagement. For over 25 years, she has volunteered with the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services Watershed Management Bureau, conducting annual lake studies and water quality testing for Long Pond. She also supports the Adaptive Waterski Program on Long Pond, empowering youth and adults with disabilities to experience the joy of watersports.

We are fortunate to have a volunteer of Pattie’s caliber leading pickleball instruction for Pelham Pathways. Her dedication, expertise, and resilience make her an inspiration both on and off the court.
