May Update: Enhancing Accessibility and Safety on Pelham’s Trails

Exciting News: All Persons Trail Project: We are thrilled to announce that our application to the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) for the All Persons Trail in Pelham has been supported by the Pelham Forestry Committee! Our ambitious goal is to raise $142,400 over the next two years to construct a universally accessible trail, welcoming people of all abilities and backgrounds. Pelham Veteran’s Memorial Park: Guided Hike Recap: Did you see our recent video of the Pelham Veteran’s Memorial Park Trails? If not, check it out on our website: Pelham Veteran’s Memorial Park. On Saturday, May 11th, we hosted our inaugural Guided Nature Hike at Pelham Veteran’s Memorial Park. Thirty-one participants enjoyed the stunning 50-acre recreational area, complete with scenic hiking trails and a town beach. The video, beautifully crafted by Brett Gagnon and Philip Jussaume, will inspire your next adventure!

We also have openings on our Community Trail Coalition Committee. If you’re interested in planning and organizing CTC activities, we would love to have you on board. An application form is attached.

Upcoming Event: Guided Hike at Merriam Farm (see attached)

Date: June 15th
Time: 10:00 am
Location: Merriam Farm, Mammoth Road, near Sherburne Road, Pelham, NH 03086

Join us for an unforgettable outdoor experience at Merriam Farm, Pelham’s newest Town Forest. This hike offers something for everyone, from seasoned hikers to beginners.

Parking: Available at the park entrance off Mammoth Road. A parking attendant will guide vehicles. Additional parking is available at Pelham Veteran’s Memorial Park.

Kids’ Activity: Nature Bingo – Look for plants, pine cones, butterfly sightings, and more. Prizes for winners!

Hike Details: Duration: Approximately 2 hours. Difficulty: Easy
