Subject: Urgent: Show Your Support for the All Persons Trail
September 17th, 6:30 PM
Dear Friend,
We need your support!
The Community Trail Coalition is excited to bring an All Persons Trail to Pelham—a unique outdoor recreation project designed to make nature accessible to everyone.
An All Persons Trail is a groundbreaking concept that transforms traditional trails into pathways that can be enjoyed by individuals of all abilities. By improving the trail’s surface with a special material called Ledge Pack, we ensure it is flat, firm, and stable—perfect for people in wheelchairs, those with mobility or vision impairments, parents with strollers, and young children.
On Monday, September 17th, at 6:30 PM, the All Community Trail Coalition will present to the Pelham Board of Selectmen at Pelham Town Hall (small conference room). We are asking for approval to apply for a grant to build an All Persons Trail at Merriam Farm Conservation Area through the Land, Water & Conservation Fund.
Your presence is critical. We don’t need you to speak – we just need you to show up, stand, and clap to demonstrate strong community support for this project. If we pack the room and show support, we can make this trail a reality for people of all abilities.
Details:
- Date/Time: Monday, September 17th at 6:30 PM
- Location: Pelham Town Hall, small conference room
Your attendance will demonstrate to the Pelham Select Board our commitment to serving Pelham residents of all abilities by building a fully accessible trail in Pelham.
Please help us by attending and encouraging others to come as well!
Thank you for standing with us,
Yvonne La-Garde, Chairperson
Pelham Community Trail Coalition
IF YOU CANT JOIN THE MEETING IN PERSON, PLEASE CONSIDER SENDING AN EMAIL
Copy the below text:
Dear Pelham Select Board,
I wanted to reach out and inform you that I whole heartedly support the idea of building an All-Persons-Trail in Pelham NH, on the Merriam Farm Conservation property, with no direct tax impact to the residents. A low construction impact and conservation minded project like this would be an asset to the town and the Southern NH region. Furthermore, it would be a shining example to towns all over the state, showing that Pelham cares about residents of all ages and abilities in its community. Although I am unable to attend your Select Board meeting in person, please let this letter stand in my place and show my approval to move forward with this project.
Graciously submitted,
(you name here)
